Weekend Recap – Happy Birthday Harry and Clay!

Posted on Posted in Life Musings

Happy Monday! Can you believe it is already August?! This summer has flown by.

I hope you had a great weekend.

Friday, we celebrated a good friend’s birthday at Flying Tee. If you haven’t been to a Flying Tee or TopGolf, you need to. It is such a fun experience, even for those who have never golfed. Our Flying Tee is right on the river, so it has a gorgeous view of the river looking towards downtown.

Caleb was gone most of the day Saturday checking out some land that he is going to hunt on with my dad, brother and cousin. So I had the morning and afternoon to myself! I had high hopes for being super productive, but then I looked out the windows to rainy cloudy weather and learned that there was a Harry Potter marathon going on to celebrate Harry’s birthday (July 31st), and all productivity left me. I did get my office rearranged in preparation for hanging my standing desk!! I can not wait to show you guys! I have a few office things coming in this week, and I will be semi ready for a reveal!

I’m getting everything¬†together for a tutorial post on building¬†your own standing desk, which will be on the blog in the next week or two. It’s really easy, if you don’t mess up the polyurethane like I did – but more on that later.

After three movies in, me and the pups decided to stretch our legs and go on a walk in the neighborhood. We have a tree-covered park area in our neighborhood that the dogs love to go explore, and since it is nestled between a fence and a creek, the dogs can go off leash without the worry that they are going to get too far away.

After church on Sunday we ran a ton of errands, while hitting every pokestop we could….we’re fully aware that we are complete nerds, and we are ok with it! ( ; Have you tried the pokemon go app? It is entirely too fun and addicting.

We also found a new brunch place in South Tulsa! Since we live about 20-30 minutes from all the hot spots in midtown and downtown, we are always looking for cool local places in south Tulsa. We tried The Wine Loft Bistro for brunch and it was delicious! The inside design is gorgeous and the crab frittata and Benedict were fantastic!

We also finished my standing desk and started the Jason Bourne series. I have never seen it, so we thought it was about time. I think the first movie was made in the early 2000’s, so the technology is really funny looking back.
