Don’t you love when you see your city growing and developing?! I love seeing signs for new businesses, especially ones that are unique and add some culture and personality to your city – move out of the way banks and fast food restaurants. New businesses woven in with businesses who’ve been around for awhile are the perfect combination to keep your city movin and groovin, and Tulsa is getting some new business on one of my favorite streets: Cherry Street!!
The year we lived in our rent house, it was right off of Cherry street, and we were constantly walking and biking to all the local places the street has to offer, which is a lot!
Cherry street has a great mix of the new and the old, as well as the chain and the mom and pop. There’s panera, Gengis grill and chipotle, but also Coffee House on Cherry Street (aka CHOCS), Kilkenny’s irish pub, Andolini’s pizza, and some great locally owned shops like Nest.
Well now it just got better by leveling a shady gas station that was hardly used and putting in it’s place a cool brick building that will now house several new places, including our highlight for today: Roosevelts.
“Roosevelt’s is a gastropub focused on Craft Beer, with a full menu serving lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch on historic Cherry Street.”
We have eaten here twice since it opened and it has been fantastic both times. The services is great and the food is delicious, and the designer in me is in heaven with their gorgeous logo, menus, color scheme and water bottles!!!
They have a case in the hallway that holds all kinds of vintage beer cans, which I stood and nerded out over the labels and design for longer than was appropriate! ( ;
They also have a massive outdoor patio with misters and fans and a really cool water fountain, which is so fun on nice Oklahoma days.
Here is the water fountain!
If you’re in Tulsa, go check this place out! Enjoy a burger, sandwich or the trout platter on the outdoor patio, or inside on their leather tufted booths. You won’t be dissapointed!
